I always do everything 100%, so this sounds like a challenge I like.
I came 1:st in my first wave competition I ever entered in Abbekås, Sweden.

Personal Comment

“We were driving early in the morning because we knew the wind was going to drop pretty early. People were out at the spot already when we arrived so we rigged up our gear quick. I chose 4.1 Icon and my 75L allwave which was a good decision. I have sailed in windier conditions and bigger waves before, like last week we had more wind both at my homespot in south eastern part and here on the westcoast where we sailed now. It was my first time sailing on this spot so I was a bit nervous. Are there any rocks? Where are the waves best? And so on. But no rocks and I liked the waves, they didn’t brake to close to each other and pretty far out. Good size on most of them as well.
I think the water was really cold, I know I get cold pretty easy, but it was cold!!! After a while I couldn’t feel my toes so it was hard to perform as well as I wanted. Haven’t been able to sail so much lately which also affected me and I crashed pretty hard a few times. But I had much fun out there and will definitely go back to this spot even if it’s pretty far from my homespot.
After a while the wind got stronger when some rain came in, but just for a few minutes before it dropped.
After lunch we went south to catch the wind, but we failed, the wind in the south was also gone. So I drove home to Öland again, totally almost 1000km in 24 hours. But it’s these days that makes you feel alive when you start to heat up again and your muscles are sore. Big thanks to all the organizers!! The team who was with us this day was great!”
