„ I received a call from Andreas (Quatro Germany) telling me that is possible that after long time waiting for the storm, it could be happening in the nexts days, so that I have to get ready to leave to scotland and possible I was leaving the island the next day in the night. Later on, I received another call from him that I have to leave right the next norning at 5 in the morning.
He told me that it was gonna be very stormy and strong conditions. Never been to Scotalnd and didn’t know anything about the place or spot. So it was kind of exiting; it was like going for an adventure.

It was a long way until I got there. We had to drive 3 hours up to the place plus the hours I spent in the plain. Hahaha... We got there at 10:30 or so, met the Red Bull Crew and the local sailor Stephen.
In the way up I was kind of nervous cos didn’t know how hard the conditions were gonna be.

7 a.m. the next morning. Ready for the action! It was still a bit dark to check how was the wind but it was blowing strong.
We arrived at the first spot and there it didn’t look so strong totally onshore, so I satrted to get more relax seeing that it wasn’t going to be like going to we went and sail but it was not what we were looking for so after an hour we went out and started to chase for the next spot.

We arrived to another spot not so far, as soon we got there I was looking I said this is it. It was enough wind for 4.0 strong and nice head high waves breaking side on and we see some raining comig to us.

We started to rig up and suddenly started to rain like hell and the wind was picking up so at the end the wind got so strong that we have to rigged to small sails we got. Fucking windy! Some of the gusts made it impossible to keep the board in the water. The board was flying away!!!

I scored some jumps, some nice backloops but sometime it was impossible to do anything cos the wind was so strong. After 30 minutes I could grap the boom anymore because of the cold and the strong wind. After a 5 minutes rest when back up.

Then it started to rain so hard and the wind got stronger that I could not see anything in the water. I couldn’t even see the shore. The rain was so hard that it felt like there were little stones droping from the sky.
Sometimes was painful. So I got back to the land and tried to hide from the rain in between big stones. I have never seen such strong wind together with strong rains.

It was increadible sailing is such stormy and cold conditions but sometimes I was thinking that we are kind of crazy sailing in this cold and stormy conditions.
After a while the strom calmed down a bit and the wind started to drop a bit but still strong and turned onshore.so when back in the water.and have a third session but nothing compare to the strong conditions that we just had 30 min ago.“
