I live in Berlin (pretty far away the Beach), but everything more then 7 Bft. makes me fly to the coast and for sure high above the water... .

Personal Comment

„I was really surprised, I never thought that we´ll get such a big storm. 8 to 9 Bft can be managed, but this storm was something else. Gusts up to 65kn!!! My first glimpse over the dunes gave me a right adrenalin kick in the morning, 3.5m waves! My blood pressure rose and let my temples jump.The sea was boiling, water and sand flew everywhere. I couldn´t believe seeing my homespot in such a rage. I never tried out my skills in those conditions. But I didn´t dare going home: all these cameras around me…:)I had to go, and I wanted to!
I took my smallest sail, 3.7…which gave me a right lesson within the first seconds I went out! Damned! It was impossible to control. My first jump endet seeing my equipment flying one direction and me the other. After a while I got along better and my jumps became more or less controlled. But I wasn´t satisfied, I knew I can do way better than that. But mother nature taught me her lesson and “she” won.
Anyway, what a day!!! I won´t forget this day of windsurfing my whole life. Thank´s to all who made this possible for me. And I really want to say thank you for this great idea and for everything the sponsors did for me.
Just one thing: next time I defenetly have a 3.2 plus a 2.8…
Summary: Respect the nature and buy more small sails!
