Riders - Strong statement of the Danish top riders

The Danish wave elite completly signed in for the Red Bull Storm Chase in the small Scandinavian country. Famous worldcuppers like Robert Sand (D62), Mads Björna (D20), Kenneth Danielsen (D38) and even Lars Petersen (D99) are on fire to represent the region around the worldwide known fisher village Klitmöller when the massive storm hooks in. Besides their strong sake to get the only entry card for the event in the tough voting round that starts in middle of july all riders are allied in one task:

To save the region THY in Denmark for windsurfers from all over the world!

THY is threatened from local government plans that want to close the spots in the Northern part of Denmark for all water sports like surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Illegal parking and overnight stays are the primary reason why, between the local population and the local government, the surfers are conceived as a group of visitors that takes up too much space and contributes too little to the area. Through dialogue, the famous Danish surfers try to explain to those, who stay overnight illegally, that their choice is harming the opportunities to stay in the region Klitmöller and to develop THY as a centre for surfing in Northern Europe. In the Red Bull Storm Chase the Danish wave rippers find a popular platform to spread their message as far as possible. In the personal comment field of their riders registrations you can read it: "Earn and return respect! Don`t be a sponger!"

If you are a Danish rider and you want to support the cool "Surfer2Surfer" campaign register now for the Danish coastline to be part of the Red Bull Storm Chase and to point a strong statement for saving your spots!
