We restarted the whole voting process. We caused a lot of confusion among many of you. Those who put huge effort in getting voted are disappointed. But still it was the only way to avoid major trouble. If single individuals are able to add any number of votes they like, nobody has a chance of being fairly elected. Still no rider was disqualified because to prove a person to have cheated is not an easy game.

The idea of the voting is to get the exact mix of pro- and amateur windsurfers that the majority likes to whatch ripping. The voting is more time consuming now, but it is a lot more secure and provides equal chances. We say sorry to those who are disappointed, and hope they get their people activated one more time.

There were concerns about strange rankings in some countries where no-names lead the list. The reason is simple: some riders organised a huge campaign to get chosen. People voting for Steffi Wahl in Germany even have the chance to win some of her Windsurfing gear. So keep on being creative to get your ranking high. Keep on supporting the show by voting for other countries as well. We will try and keep the whole thing as fair as possible.
