Rider - Introducing Storm Chaser GER Baltic Sea #2 - Normen Günzlein

Time to introduce the riders! Normen Günzlein from Germany, age 21.

One of the youngest participants in the Red Bull Storm Chase but ambitious enough to be already known as an international worldclass freestyle specialist, performing creative moves even in strong wind! Windsurfing since 1998!

How did you promote yourself in the voting?
„I spent a lot of time in front of my computer and wrote a lot of emails: To all the people I know – just to cinvince them to vote for me. Then I begged my sponsors to support me by writing to all of the people they know.“

Any special preparation for „the day“?
„I spent two months training in strong winds and high waves in Capetown/ South Africa... then I compete in the EFPT-Tour this season - I think I´m perfectly prepared for the storm, I can´t wait for it!!!“

Favourite home spot?
„In the Baltic Sea we have several good spots such as Weißenhaus, Heiligenhafen and Fehmarn. Now I pray for winds from north west. They work best at high winds from this direction.“
