Time to introduce the riders! Matze Bade from Germany, Age 30, “The Ice Man”. A northern local who doesn´t fear ripping through ice flowes, windsurfing since 1985.
How did you promote yourself in the voting?
“I told all my friends about it and spent 1.000.000 Euro! To be honest, I couldn´t really concentrate on my job for at least four weeks and spent most of the time writing emails even to friends I haven´t contacted since the Kindergarden.”
Any special preparations for the DayX?
“I ordered a new 3.3 Sailloft. And I think about a fulltime sponsoring from Mc Donald’s to get the right weight. Maybe training as often as I can would be also an alternative? We will see….”
Best Storm Spot in your region?
“Westermakelsdorfer Huk WSW, it´s the northwest tip of Fehmarn! It´s the only spot that gets waves even in a SW wind!"
