Red Bull Storm Chase is on!

3 fat storms above 10 Beaufort, 10 sailors, and the entire planet as a stage. These are the breathtaking ingredients for the most challenging windsurfing contest of all time.

Starting today, Red Bull Storm Chase is on! The crew is continuously monitoring all chosen destinations for suitable storms.

Make sure to check back on the frontpage every day. Frequent status updates will be posted as things happen. Warning levels for the destinations will be updated based on global storm situations. Different forecast models are frequently evaluated in direct contact with several meteorological advisors worldwide. Destination warning levels will be set in connection with their recommendations.

3 Warning Levels for the Competition

Blue markers (warning level "Guarded") indicate that the crew is monitoring the destination daily. Yellow markers (warning level "Elevated") will be set as soon as a developing storm system within reach of a destination is being closely analysed by the crew. Red markers (warning level "Severe") will only be set if an official warning to all Storm Chasers and the crew is sent out. Then, a mission might be about to begin...

Multiple Spot Options for Each Destination

The sports & athletes team is in contact with locals from each destination. This ensures that multiple spot options in the destination areas have already been identified. The specific spots where Storm Chasers will go out to compete will be chosen during the missions themselves, depending on the actual storm situation on location.

Get ready to be blown away!
